Most of the reviews I've read here are accurate. It's a feature-rich, compact video camera with a good lens and focus for the price of many simpler Flip-style fixed-focus cameras. Great value. I especially love the time-lapse feature, which I use to document building projects.
I found it on a competing site as a refurbished unit with full warranty from manufacturer for under $200, but the Amazon price is great too.
My addition to the comments here: As a Mac user (MacBook pro, Mini, latest OS) it was very difficult to get the high-def video into my machine. I've even read frustrated comments from people with FinalCut who are confounded by the HD interlaced video files from this camcorder. My hope is that Quicktime (Apple) will address the problem in the future, or maybe even Samsung, but I'm not holding my breath. At the moment, I've got the camera set to the lower, 720p resolution and it imports fine using iMovie. So if you're using OS X and are looking for a smooth, effortless experience, this might not be the camera you need.
